I was just curious if there are any good apps for the iPhone that measure decibel levels? I'm just curious as to the differences between my guns.

I used " decibel 10th" for setting up my surround system seems good.

A generic audio processor and mic will not react fast enough to be able to accurately measure something as loud and fast as firing a round.
The mic can't move fast enough, the audio processor can't react fast enough, it's just not going to be accurate.

Correct, and I don't think the iPad and iPhone mics will support that level anyway. There are some good apps for audio measurement, but not for gunshots.

The expensive OSHA approved sound meter we had at work wouldn't even register a gunshot.  You're not going to be able to measure the sound level cheaply.z

I figured that that would be the case, but thought that it didn't hurt to ask.
