Sorry I'm no help.

Is your AR your only rifle? If so, it might be worth having another rifle. If you have several rifles, the optic might not be a bad idea.

Check the EE, you can find top quality optics for much less than $800.

Eh, I'm not a huge fan of the PSL's, does your AR have a way to shoot it at least? I'd say buy the optic. But I don't like the PSL's.
