I'm getting ready to tear down the old deck on the back of my house, and want to build a new one.  I'd like to have it drawn up before I take it to the lumberyard to get pricing, that way I can have a couple of options.

Anybody have some recommendations for easy to use, preferably cheap software?

Thanks,

Michael

I planned decks using CadStd. It's just a regular CAD program that works well even in the free version. Well enough at least for just a deck.
Check it out at www.cadstd.com/

I was kind of looking for something a little simpler for a non-CAD person to use.

If you have a CompUSA or Best Buy around, check out the racks of cheap software they usually have near the checkout counters.  I picked up a two pack - landscape planner and home architect - for less than $20.  If I rememeber correctly, they also had some sort of deck design package.
