SYRACUSE microbrew. Deep Purple is a beer brewed with NY grapes. Half beer, half wine. 100% delicious. If you want my mancard Molon Labe.

According to EVH, his guitar idol is Eric Clapton.

I've seen them in every decade since the early 70's  The most recent one was with Steve Morse. Ian's voice ain't what it used to be but they still rock.

I saw them at "Eagles" in Seattle in 1968; Amazing show. The final note of a song, the lead guitar player threw his guitar on the edge of the stage and the parts flew out into the audience. We were sitting about 80 feet away.
I have seen every 60's rock band live[I saw Led Zeppelin when they opened for Vanilla fudge]

Clapton was Ed's biggest influence. The player EVH never mentions as an influence is Ulirich Roth, but he was in a big way.

Fuck yeah!

Funny to see "Smoke on the Water" performed as a "new" song.

Still hate it though. (It's one of those songs that radio ruined for me in the 70's and 80's.)
