I've been rewatching the series over the past few weeks. I'm about mid way through season 4 when the show starts getting really really good. It's a shame there isn't another Star Trek show on television that's this good.

They are both fantastic shows and did things differently. Bab 5 was more like a television novel and DS9 was sort of Star Trek show/space opera. Right now, I'm digging The Klingons getting introduced into the series. It made things really exciting and fun.

"What about you, Vir? What do you want?"

"What do I want, Mr. Morden? I want to live just long enough to see them put your head on a pike, as a warning to the next ten generations that some favors come with too high a price. I want to look up into your lifeless eyes, smile, and wave like this. Can you and your associates arrange that for me, Mr. Morden?"

B5 is more of a documentry like Red Dawn.

Sheridan overthrows a corrupt president who had to cheat his way into office and used the media againts the citizens. We need to take notes.

The Klingons and the Dominion War really made for some good storytelling. I loved the episode where the Dominion and Cardassians attack DS9 and they have to abandon the station. Sisko's speech about "this place where I belong" and the final scene where the Defiant meets up with the fleet always sends chills up my spine.

I have watched TNG, then DS9, then Voyager, and I am now on the last season of Enterprise!   They just keep getting better and better!
It has taken me almost a year and a half to watch them all

I love my netflix!

Battlestar Galactica is next on the list... then maybe 24!

I used to miss Star Trek, until I started watching this:

"

I'm only in season two, but I will never, ever, be able to go back to Sisko, Picard, and Janeway debating some obscure and unimportant tidbit about galactic deplomacy. BSG is the best American Sci-fi show ever made for television, period.

B5 is the only TV series that I bought every DVD of.  Well, Firefly, too.

I have to say that on DS9 one of my favorite characters was the bad Kira from the parallel universe.

Too bad about Dax, ending up slinging hash in a NYC diner.

Back to DS9, that series had some great moments:
Sisko- I lied. I cheated. I bribed men to cover up the crimes of other men. I was an accessory to murder. But most damning of all... I think I can live with it... And if I had to do it all over again... I would. Garak was right about one thing – a guilty conscience is a small price to pay for the safety of the Alpha Quadrant. So I'll learn to live with it...Because I can live with it...I can live with it.

Seasons 1 and 2 were great, but I was more and more disappointed by 3 and 4.  Except for "Exodus" parts 1 and 2, season 3.  Too melodramatic, too focused on politics, and practically 3/4 of the main cast turned out to be Cylons.

A phenomenal episode. Absolutely top-notch in every respect. Garek was something else, and that scene now rings even more loudly in light of the war we're fighting...

DS9 was by far the best ST show. I only regret that the last season was so weak. Losing Dax really killed it, and the ending with the Cardasian becoming a devil was REALLY stupid.

i enjoyed the whole series. got a little out there at times, but as much as i love all the star treks, none of them kept me literally at the edge of my seat from the mini-series to the end. i would not miss an episode, and the family knew not to interupt and to wait for a commercial to ask me anything.

i dont watch much t.v. it was the only show i have ever looked forward to seeing once a week. i just wish syfy (hate the new name) could come up with something of the same caliber to fill the void.
