There are so many directions I could go with that statement, that I am literally paralyzed by indecision.

It's so damn hard not to reply. Have to hold my tongue.....

The OP is going to be so sorry. Seems a little high strung but well meaning. Poor kid.

BTW, I use a Rem Model 7 in 308 with Leupold VariX-III 4.5-14 or a T/C Super 14" in 30-30 with Leupold 2.5-4

Shit-pumped.  Whee.

No pics, rifle is still at home in WV.  Just a regular Remington 700 .270 BDL lefty, Nikon 3x9 on top, Harris bipod, and a camo neoprene sling.

Haven't much thought about it yet, just last week it was 104 degrees.    The only gun I have a whitetail  load worked up for is the .284 Winchester.

Maybe the .308 BDL I picked up over the summer, commit the cardinal sin and buy factory ammo.

I'd like to try that Hornady Leverloution ammo as well. Maybe the .44 Marlin?

Nice pistol.  One of these days, when money allows, I'm going get me a SRH in 44 magnum and use that for my deer and hog gun in brush.

What caliber is it? Can't use .223 on deer in Tenn. 6mm is the smallest you can go...legally.

Will be using a Savage 111 in 270win, or a Stoeger 2000 12ga, or a Remington 870 12ga.

Tikka T3 .308

Same barrel as a Sako, freakishly light trigger from the factory, bolt is so smooth it almost operates itself.

Only comes in a long action and mags are ridiculously expensive.

Puma 92 .357 is going to get its debut on the farm in Indiana this year.

You can use any centerfire rifle cartridge in TN. It's a .223.

Isnt a .308 short action on the Tikka?

Cool, a good thread to show off my newly refitted Winchester M70 in 270WSM.

it started life about 7 years ago as a stock M70 Ultimate Shadow with a less than wonderful Weaver 3-9x scope that looked like this

I just put it in a new B&C stock that uses winchester hinged bottom metal (unlike the blind mag on the ultimate shadow stock). I also replaced the weaver scope and crappy leupold rings/mount with an EGW rail and a new Sightron SII 3-9x42 with the HHR reticle (Hunter Hold Over, basically a BDC reticle)

I'm gonna take both that and my 450 Bushmaster on my Cow Elk hunt in a couple months (no deer tag this year)

Here's the 450 Bushmaster which will be my first choice as long as I can get close enough (<250 yards)

Nope, they're all long action...unless they've changed it in the last 4 years.

I really, really want a lefty Tikka in .270 WSM, but I can't find a single place that sells them.

I've been enjoying "Cowboy" Hunt with vintage iron most recently!

Grand Dad's 1933 Winchester 94 in 30-30.

He used it all though the depression to put meat on the table and keep trouble at away.

Finish is patina from many many years of being outside through all conditions.  Wood is vintage and tells the tale of many hunts.

I have a low power side mount scope (1.5 x 5) on a detachable side mount, but I really enjoy stalking without the optic to make the shot with irons a close range (makes it similar to bow hunt and less like a canned hunt blasting unaware deer at 500 yards with a Super Magnum and 16 power scope!)

Camera is tied up, but I'll post a photo when the camera is ready.

Wish I could find a way to "age" the front band sling mount but it is alloy not steel.

Made this account a while back, think I'll use my first post for this thread.

I'll be using a 1940 Turkish Mauser that was given to me about 2 months ago. Will post pictures when I find my camera.

If I remember correctly they changed the law from 6mm restriction to any centerfire a few years ago. So, I believe Evil is correct now.

I haven't decided what I'm using yet for this year.

Maybe a Winchester 1894.  It'll be my first time using this rifle for hunting.
