| I don't know much but it looks sketchy to me. I have to friends from church that work for a small company that helps people invest in these types of alternatives by making sure they are tax compliant. They don't actually sell them. After an hour conversation it sounded like most of the customers they have are taking a beating or suing. Some make money but it was dumb luck. They were talking about aids patients selling these and now the aids pt are living longer and so tons of people are loosing money and the people who were supposed to be dead years ago are in great health due to the advances in healthcare for aids and some types of cancer. So now these people with the life settlement are having to pay money every month so they don't loose the investment, but there was no end in sight. Once again I just caught the edge of it but my friends were making it sound like the guys that bought these were loosing their shirts. I know I don't want my hand in that cookie jar. |
