Yeah my last account Is toast. I downloaded some vague movies that no one else was downloading and no way to seed them to get even close to catching up.

| Just a pro tip for y'all going to IPT. Get a few super popular titles even if you don't watch them just to seed and build up a kickass ratio that way you can get other things without worrying. Periodically get a new, hot title to help out your ratio. Otherwise they lock it down so you can't download something and the only thing you can do is seed and if you got shit files... well. |

It was great for out of publish books, or just random ass rare crap. Still havent found its equal. seedbox? Basically you buy someone's server space where you can use your torrent client and have anonymity. Once the titles are downloaded to the server, a direct FTP download can be quicker than a torrent anyways. It's a layer of separation and also enables you to host a ton of stuff without the risk of prying eyes or virii infecting your machine directly and you can build up seed ratios as well. A clever idea. Generally hosted in foreign countries. I usually don't do enough of anything to justify that but I like subnet's suggestion. I might finally look into one. |

Easy to use services like Easynews will set you up with 40 gigs for $15 or 150 gigs for $30. You also don't have to worry about an older file going slow as hell and taking days or weeks to download. I can pull a file from Easynews at 7 megabytes per second instantly and I don't have to worry about using up my monthly bandwidth allowance from my ISP on uploading. Granted there are some torrents out there that are around longer than newsgroup services have retention and some torrents out there that aren't on the newsgroups, but if you're going to be paying money, I'd rather pay for a newsgroup service. Considering that the people you are paying that money to for the ratio grace amount aren't even supplying the bandwidth for your downloads (the seeders and leechers are), it seems like an even worse deal. |
