| I take excellent care of my teeth and never had insurance, so I hadn't been to one in over 20 years, but when I married my ex, her insurance covered me, so I figured what the heck. He said, "we better replace the filling in this tooth....we have much better stuff now." The tooth wasn't hurting in the least, but I shrugged and said OK. It has now hurt for the past 8 years, and a big chunk of it broke off this past Monday. Mother fucker just HAD to fuck with it. I won't ever go to one again until/unless I have an obvious issue. Just brush 3X a day, every day. |

I LOVE them.
When your first dentist visit as a 7 year old was for the doctor to do a root canal on an abscessed tooth a shot feels like a blessing! 
ETA: Have had 5 teeth pulled over the years 2 baby teeth that still had full roots, 2 wisdom teeth and a molar that was beyond saving. The shot is the worst part of an extraction for me. |

Yeah that's more important. Usually he handles it very well, gives me more novacaine as needed (Today I needed so much my temple is now numb) But I have a phobia which is the main reason I hate it. ETA: Got a cavity filled. |

Every one I have tried in recent years seems to be trying to pay for his kids college just by looking in my mouth. 30 years ago dentists were honest and affordable. now it is veneer this, cosmetic that. screw that, I am old and don't need to impress anyone.
