I want to build a reactive target device that can use existing IPSC target bases and uprights without being too heavy. Below is what I have brainstormed so far, but wanted to get some opinions on how it can be improved before I start building the prototype. The goal is to make it bomb proof without weighing a ton. The target area is most likely going to be replaced often but I figure pre made crossbars are not that big of an issue, as I doubt they will get shot up too often. This is just for my own use, but it needs to be study enough that the IDPA guys could make some and have them last, if they wanted them. Postions A & B Shows 45 deg detent in stored position Position C Allows a training partner to set up a blind shoot for you to respond to instead of just shooting everything down. It drops into the slot and has only the last 1/4' threaded for fast but secure changes. Let me hear your ideas to improve the design. -Thanks http://concealedcarry.info/forum/uploads/Reactive%20Target.gif PS. for anyone not familiar with the momentum target, here is a link to where i found the original concept. thecurmudgeon.freeservers.com/ps/target_rm.html |
