Hofmann's are king... but the dog on a Freihoffer New England roll are all you need. Mustard and kraut are heresy. The dog can stand on its own!

Fail.

Chicago dogs do not have jalapeno's on them.

I don't see any mustard, or celery salt.

And what's with the dog? The end looks like some kind of sausage.

That’s what the news articles allude to as far as the closing
But other places made it doing take out.  They were just too expensive for a college hot dog shop.  So to close down not even a month into covid , some other factors had to be at play

Brighton Hot Dogs are good/decent.  Hardly the best I’ve had

There used to be a shop in Weirton called Top Dog.  Long gone though.  They were very good.

Who’s been brave enough to stop at Bert’s Footlongs?   It’s just a little shack, more like a garden shed along 519. Atlasburg Pa.  basically between Burgettstown and Hickory
Not sure if they are still open

Theres two brothers that do a hot dog food truck around Tarentum - the Hot Dog Guys.   They are pretty decent dogs.

I have always been disappointed with the quality of hot dogs offered at Pirate games.  Undercooked and poor texture
Of all the MLB stadium dogs I’ve tried, I’d put the (kayem?) HDs at Fenway park as the best.  then whatever brand was being sold at wrigley field.  Yankees stadium not bad.   Cleveland- meh, and your stadium mustard is overrated.   The absolute worst were the skyline coneys at the new Reds ball park.  Just disgusting in all categories.   I’ve been wanting to go see some new ball parks for a couple years, probably have to wait a few more.

Worst part of my move to Ohio has been the lack of Hofmann’s hots at the start of summer.

Fortunately my mother the saint brought about 8 pounds of dogs with her and we have them in the freezer. Should last us the summer.

Talking about Flint dogs.  Viennas are steamed, not boiled.

I'd pass on the Chicago style. The other two look great though.

Boiled hot dogs is retarded.

Best hot dog place is Ted's. One of the few only good things about NY.

That Chicago style is an abomination.

Did anyone else have parents/relatives that only put ketchup on hot dogs?  I didn't know people put anything on
hot dogs but ketchup until I moved away for college.

I'll join the heretic club, I like ketchup on dogs. Pretty much any condiment is fine by me. That last dog left on the grill at zero drunk thirty is good enough.

School me on that florescent green stuff on Chicago dogs. How's it get that color? I have fishing lures that color.

Food coloring in the relish.

I was in Chicago 5 years.  Still like Chicago dogs.

I also like Kraut and Mustard on hotdogs.

Cheap gas station hot dogs:  Chili, Cheese (nacho cheese), mustard and onions.

Correct... don't call it a Chicago Dog unless it's authentic.

The New York style for me.  Spicy mustard, lots of onion, and kraut.

I see the Chicago style as being like their "pizza".  Someone just said "Let's see how much crap we can throw on there."

That chili dog looks decent too.

Had bacon wrapped hot dogs at a stand in Tucson.  They were pretty good.
