I don't mean to be rude, but is he really alive?  I mean it he looks like one of those animatronic Presidents in Disney World.

I feel bad that people are still pimping him out like this...

I said it last year and I'll say it again, I'm glad to see he is still able to do what he enjoys doing considering what he went through.

...and happy new year.

He had a really bad stroke in 2004.  He's actually only a year older than Clint Eastwood.

Just looked it up.
Richard Wagstaff "Dick" Clark born November 30, 1929.
That would make him 79.

ABC took a lot of heat for putting Dick on last year.

Really, Dick Clark is "New Year's Rocking Eve".
Period.
All the other crews are just wannabe hacks.

So what if he has trouble speaking.
I think it's great that ABC didn't kick him to the curb after his stroke.

People need to see guys like Dick, along with wounded vets and other people that just drive on.

It ain't all "Melrose Place" and "90210".

Good on him.

Dick Clark is an icon, I wish him all the best.

Visit his Auto Museum/Theatre in Branson, MO

You'll be impressed.

I am in full agreement.

BTW, up until his stroke, Dick Clark came across as MUCH younger than his actual age. Health issues can take a lot of out of someone.

Frankly, I could care less what the guy looks like. I doubt many of us will look any better when we hit 79, if we are lucky enough to live that long I should add.

+1. He's the man. Young people have too many hangups when it comes to people who are not perfect.

I don't care if you used the trickle word, if my drops land where I want then to.
Why ? because I'ts not  about what you think.
That's why I got a 32 yr old at the  feet of my 51 year old body.

Age has a respect of it's own.

I'm not concerned with "perfect" I am concerned that he is being guilted into doing the show.  He's obviously still able to be in public and shouldn't be limited in what he wants to do, but he didn't seem to really be there.

With all due respect to Dick Clark, a guy has to know when to leave.

These once great celebrities, politicians, sports stars etc., become unpleasant caricatures of themselves when they stay too exposed long past their prime.

I want to remember Clark as he was - not some doddering old guy trotted out every New Years Eve just for tradition.
