I took the first shot and then the booster three weeks later. The deciding factor for me was my advanced age and some heart disease (quintuple bypass) Another factor was that at the time I worked building laboratories for large drug mfgs . Most of our work was Pfiser or Regeneron who both were big players. Interesting turn of events was neither ever asked if we had got the shot . There was talk of them requiring it but it never came to that. Regeneron required us to be tested weekly and they did that at no cost to us. A year or two into the mess I home tested positive and suffered some pretty rough symptoms for 5 or6 days that tapered off 10 days out. Before any talk of covid I had some pretty harsh and similar symptoms that I at the time thought was some flu kind of thing. It all showed up over a holiday weekend and By the time I was able to get to my doctor I was feeling much better so I never got any treatment or testing. I count that "flu" as covid before anyone was talking about covid. Interesting situation in that I am a pretty quiet guy who doesn't travel much and most all of my interaction with people outside of work is with a tiny group of friends. Interesting part of the work thing is Regeneron has quite a few Chinese folks working in the labs I was building . I am fairly confident that the covid virus came from Chinese labs and on wonders if it was just a dumb mistake or if on purpose was it a test to see how easy it might be to wreck our economy and raise general hell with us? From my understanding Regeneron got a pile of payments from the US government for various covid related work . |

No. Was under the threat of being fired due to "govt contractor" status. I work in electrical generation in a non govt company. Part of the dragnet. Applied for early retirement, potentially losing 50% of my pension and all of my healthcare. Luckily, somebody came to their senses and dropped the mandate. I will never forgive or forget. |
