I was on a ladder trying to change a bulb in a hard to reach spot and ended up falling off the ladder

I've had them send me free a part even after explaining to them it was my fault that it broke. The guy on the phone flat out refused to let me pay for the part.
I was shooting so much at the time, an honest 35-40k a year, I had 3 650's set up and would sit down and load a couple of thousand rounds 1 or 2 days a week in three different calibers. I wish I had the cash, time and convenient matches to shoot like that now. I really need to get moved back to Arkansas where I could shoot 6 matches a month. |

Yep.
I'm a big fan of the 1050 and their 1200B trimmers. Those trimmers will last a LONG freaking time if you swap bearings and brushes as needed. Like, millions of cases. Also, I'm a big fan of their carbide resizing dies. I've got one that came with a YEAR ONE or TWO RL 1050 (the press is silver, not black). I've resized over a million cases with it. No telling how many the original owner(s) resized with it. Still shows no sign of wearing out any time soon. That is unbelievable to me. And the 1050 is robust enough for redneck home-made automation. Only real complaint I have is the case feed shuttle approaches the shell plate a little too fast and can cause the brass to hang up sometimes if the case gets vibrated/rocked at just the wrong moment. This is can be fixed with a reprofiled casefeed shuttle cam (part that bolts to the head and pushes the case feed roller). Also, the stroke is too short to do .308 (though I'm given to understand they fixed that with the super 1050). You can barely process .308 on an RL1050, but you definitely can't load it. Surprisingly, you can still get the main non-compatible RL 1050 parts like the main shaft or the crank journal. They're not cheap, but they do last 1.5 mil plus rounds if you keep them clean/lubed. |
| I got a 550B from a friend that got the mcahine when a uncle passed away, it was missing a whole list of parts. I called Dillion & they sent me all the missing parts to get me up & running at no charge. Its the best Machine I've ever used, I love there shit & the customer service is outstanding. |

I have a friend (half gorilla) break in two the beefy casting that holds the operating arm on my RL550 - how he did that I'll never know.....
Not Dillons fault but they replaced it free of charge. After twenty years of use I sent it back for refurb, it came back like brand new free of charge! |

My first press was a 550 that I acquired at a garage sale for a song. It had some problems, needed a rebuild. Well, actually, it was a complete basket case. I called Dillon asking about some parts. They wanted me to just ship it to them, they'd rebuild it and return it. Gratis.
I couldn't do that to them, so I went out and bought a new one.

| Dillon goes one better in that you don't even have to be the original owner. I know of three different guys who have bought Dillon presses from garage sales or flea markets. These babys were in HORRIBLE shape. No problem, just boxed them up and sent them to Dillon with $75 and they came back better than new. Yes, BETTER than new because upgrades had been made to the presses since these had originally been made and the Dillon boys added the upgrades. |

Sadly, 1050s are not so warrantied. Fortunately, they don't really need it. If you wear out a 1050, you're either using it in a business or an olympic shooter. |
