Im about 5 weeks into my wait for my XL650. Im just wondering if any of you guys that have back orders with them, have been receiving anything yet and how long did you wait?
Im getting anxious! |
|
I'm a little upset with Dillon right now.
I placed an order for a Super Swage 600 about 2 months ago. Of course it was on backorder, but I expected that and it wasn't a big deal. When I ordered I got an email confirmation with an order number. One month when by, nothing happened, so I called them. After being on hold for 45 minutes, a bitchy little man told me it would be the end of February. February came and went, and once again, nothing. I called back a few days ago, and was on hold for 45 minutes again before someone could speak with me. The man I talked to said he didn't handle online orders and transfers me. A woman answers the phone, says "hold please," then hangs the fuck up on me. I'm pretty pissed at this point and call back, again waiting for another 30-45 minutes only to find out Dillon has no record of my order. The woman I spoke with had to put me on hold 3 times looking for my information, she never asked for my order number so I stopped her from placing me on hold a fourth time, and asked her if she wanted my order number. She again put me on hold, and after 10 minutes or so says "your order will be processed tomorrow." I still don't have it, but my account was finally hit. |
| On Jan 15 I ordered a 550 with 9mm and 45 setups. They quoted me 6-8 weeks. I got the order in peices here and there with the last item being delivered 6 weeks from when I placed the order. Stay patient, they are really backed up, but their products and their customer service are worth the wait. |

All the regulars are in Germany for a trade show. I was down there and they had a couple of clueless old guys running the show while Gail is in Germany. Try back in a week or so. |

jesus some of you are NEEDY
there is hyper demand right now, how the hell do they know when your order will ship if there are hundreds or thousands of orders in front of yours??? dillon is good people, they will ship your order when it is ready. you wasting their time asking for a status update will only delay them processing other orders ahead of yours. if your card is charged, then you will receive the item in 1-2 weeks as thats when its being processed. check your CC daily if you want "updates": STOP WASTING THEIR TIME |

If I hadn't called them, they wouldn't have sent anything. |

I have had my 550b for years. It is simply fabulous. I imagine that they are way overworked and will need a few more months to get straightened out. I would just wait till it shows up. If you need somtheing to do while waiting, try finding primers. I understand that, Im only getting anxious to start cranking out some 223 and 9mm. I understood the back order when I placed the order. As for the primers, Ive been finding them and stashing them. |

They are making top shelf reloading equipment which I am sure isn't the "go to" item for panic buying. I was on hold for 20 minutes yesterday and gave up. I just sent them an e-mail. This it the first time I have heard of them being "slammed".

Sheesh. I understand impatience and wanting new toys--but there is nothing to be gained by acting in a childish manner.

In the big picture it's a good thing--but ugh, what a PITA for everyone. Edit: Quote snip |

I asked you guys, when you received your Dillon stuff, and when you ordered it, to get a realistic idea of the back order. I dont understand what the problem with my question is. I am not asking for my order to be rushed, Im not asking for anyones first born son. I was simply wondering how long I can expect to wait. You people blow my mind some times. |

So anyway, am I looking at a full 8 weeks? |

Quoted: Quoted: Your timing was off. You chose poorly. Sorry, you cannot get a baby in one month by impregnating 9 women at the same time. I suppose next you'll claim dinner cannot be cooked in half the time by setting the oven at 700 instead of tree fitty. ![]() Christ Ruth's claims to have a broiler in that range. Could happen. |

When ammo prices go up whether just raw materials or panic reloading supplies get hit hard by people who waited until then to buy. That is the reason you can't find primers or powder right now. |

There are other places to get dillon stuff. Watch the EE and get it cheaper with no hassle. Not in this environment. Im fine with the back order. I should have ordered sooner, and I know it. All I was hoping for when I started this thread was when people were getting their Dillon stuff, and how long it took. I payed $1500 for the 650 and all the cool stuff I got with it. Ive seen similar used setups going for 2k plus on auction sites and what not. Im willing to wait for it. |
| Being in AZ i mad a trip to Dillon cause i had time to kill. needless to say, they were EMPTY. they had no presses or reloading components at that. They had a few LEAD bullets, but in like 41 and 44 mag sizes. I inquired about a super swag and was told 3-4 week wait. |

I'm not waiting 7 months to put the old girl back in service. |
