Did those potatoes come in a box? Of course not, that would be sacrilege. IM or email me the recipe when you get a minute. Scallop Potatoes 1/4 cup Onion 2 cloves Garlic 2 tbsp Butter 2 tbsp Flour 2/4 cups of Heavy Whipping Cream 3/4 cups Milk 1 cup Cheese 3 Potatoes Salt & Pepper Peel and slice the potatoes. Put in pot and cover with water. Place on stove on high heat. Preheat oven to 350 degrees In a separate pan saute onions, garlic and butter till the onions are tender. Add the flour and mix in to absorb the butter and cook for about 2 min while whisking. Add cream and milk, keep whisking. The mixture should bubble and thicken. Add the Cheese and whisk till melted. Add salt and pepper to taste. Drain potatoes. Grab a casserole style dish and ladle a layer of the cheese sauce in the bottom. Add a layer of potatoes and then another layer of cheese sauce until pan is full. Place is oven for 30 min to get it bubbly hot and crispy on the top. Pull out of oven. Wait impatiently for it to cool a little so it isn't so molten. Say F it and spoon it out after 2 min because it smells so good. Blow on it once and shove bite in mouth burning the heck out of your mouth, but enjoy it none the less. |
Looks good! But a scallop is a tasty bivalve....scalloped is a cooking method. So unless your 'taters has clams inside, they be "scalloped"
here there be scallops |
