OK, my first dinner pic. The wife made roast beef with taters, and at the last moment she and the daughter decided to "do something special", so they made garlic bread with cheese and sauteeed a bunch of onions & peppers to throw on top for the Daughter's BF and me (the only big pepper people in the house). I'm proud of the daughter. She's gone from barely being able to burn water to a pretty good cook in less than a year. I'll probably have to down a few Zantac tonight but it was worth it. They did good.   My Open Face Beef N Peppers Sammich w/ roasted taters. Of course, my Steyr M9A1, spare mags, my off-duty Buck knife, and a bottle of Leinenkugel's Berry Weiss... thus meeting the minimum criteria of "food & gun" as well as the additional standards of reloads, at least 1 knife, and a beer. And for the gadget freaks, I threw in a measuring device and a stapler.  Bonus pic: Mutant pepper discovery (<Chop>OMG... Honey, check this out... peppers inside a pepper!)

I shall. And I thank you for your score. She and the wife were both  when I came into the kitchen with the stapler and placed it by the coffeemaker... then they were WTF  when I took my plate over to the side, unholstered the pistol and picked up the camera."It's an ARFCOM thing, girls..."

That's about how I'd rate it too, except I'll give an extra 3 points for admitting to drinking a beer with fruit in it on ARFCOM...that takes a real man to admit something so hideous  ...so 9 from me. food looks great by the way. |
I thought you would be better at this......
I cook all the time - I just wanted to brag on the daughter. The wife usually gets home from work about 1830, so on the nights I'm not on shift I'll throw dinner together; that and I'm one of 2 "designated cooks" on our shift at the FD. Hell, my pasta salad is how I scored beaucoup points with several lady friends.  I was taught to cook (1st complete T-day dinner for the family @ 8 y.o. when Mom's back went out), sew, and wash by the parents, since there's no guarantee there'll be a woman in my life as a bachelor. Haven't been a bachelor for many years, but still keep the skillz up.

Yes, but they're both very out of the ordinary. First, it's the only power stapler I've ever seen in a dinner pic. And nobody has said what the measuring device is yet. |
