| Anyone else having issues tonight? |
|
No issues today, but yesterday there was a loss of signal for a few minutes, with a DTV screen message about the sun causing some problems. Only lasted five mins. or less. There is some unusual solar activity, so I am not surprised.
I have been very satisfied with DirectV..had it for years. Had cable at one time, but it would go out Friday afternoon and not come back until Monday when the cable guy came back to work. Local drunk and crazy drivers tended to take out the above-ground junction boxes on a regular basis. Was glad to drop cable service as soon as I could. |

This is going to happen in both fall and spring due to solar conjunctions. Basically, there's an eclipse with the satellite being directly between your dish and the sun. It only lasts for a few minutes at a time and stretches over a few days. |

My cable is working great. Same here, while the neighbors using satellite lose it during a thunderstorm. They need their dish re-aimed. I have Dish and it has to be really, really, really heavy for me to lose signal and then it's for maybe 30 seconds. That's better than the last time I had cable. |

yeah they are charging me for all the movie channels because the three months of free shit has expired 3 free months ends Oct. 28 for me. Keeping showtime until Dexter is done for the season, but ditching the rest of them. Other than that no problems except when it was raining heavily yesterday, and only for a few minutes then. |

Man, it worked all day today. Now, it kicked back off just as the Lion's game / House is starting How many recievers do you have and is this happening on all of them (if you have more than one)? Are your satellites low on the horizon or barely above some hill or trees? Any trees that might have grown into your line of sight to the satellite? |
