Anybody belong to this?  Their stupid infomercials are always running during dead time on my local TV stations.  Their "deals" seem too good to be true.  Am I right about that or can somebody actually save tons of money by buying big ticket items from them?  MJD

That's what I thought, but I'm more interested in the reasons behind your statement.  Care to elaborate?  MJD

Membership fees soak up the savings, unless you were planning to spend ALOT of money on furniture. Just google it. There's plenty of forum discussions out there.

You gotta pay shipping, too.

Their membership fees are between $3k and $5k IIRC. You can get as good of deals elsewhere if you look hard enough.

Your membership fees will be far more than your savings, the shipping charges notwithstanding. Sure, if you're building a $1,000,000 house, you might be able to save more than $5000 on your carpet. But, chances are, you didn't get in the position of being able to build a $1,000,000 house by paying MSRP for stuff anyway.

Ask Direct Buy if you can get a copy of the membership contract to read in advance.

Worked at a place that was a provider. It'll take a whole lot of spending to break even.
