Good setup episodes. Dialogue was a little slow at points, but it’s a little more in depth story concept for a live action Star Wars series/movie. I liked them.

The Inquisitor type With Baylon and Shin. I think it might be Barriss Offee Of course I could be completely wrong on that one. |

An ancient people from a distant galaxy..... Oh, part of me says the Yuuzhan Vong. But I know that isn't the case. In the end, the original movies and EU showed that the Star Wars universe was extra-galactic. Not everything was simply in one galaxy and travel between them was something that happened. |

Good so far, bit of a slow burn. I can imagine folks who haven’t seen Rebels might be a little lost right now.

I like the fact that the hyper-drive engine was mentioned as belonging to a SSD, a Super Class Star Destroyer. I hated how Disney retconned them into being Executor-Class. Executor was the name of the ship, not the class. Also, I enjoyed that the transport couldn't go to Hyperspace until it left atmosphere and the gravity well of the planet. The sequel trilogy and Rogue One broke that rule. |

The Eye of Sion is an Hyper-Drive for an Imperial Class Star Destroyer. Much like what Obi-Wan used for his Jedi Starfighter in Episode II. My guess is Thrawn is stuck the fuck out in the middle of nowhere and the distance requires something more than just a regular engine. They delivered a Hyper-Drive engine from a Super-Class Star Destroyer and it appears that the Eye of Sion had a number of 'em. Kinda like how SG1 in Stargate needed a ZPM to get from the Milky Way Galaxy to the galaxy where Atlantis was located. |

If you were paying attention to the visuals and dialogue in episode 1, there was a ton of fan service for Rebels fans.
I’m glad that David Tennant is reprising his role as Huyang. Click To View Spoiler Elsbeth as a night sister makes things very interesting.

Just got done watching both. Female heavy cast and yet doesn’t feel cringey like so many of Disney’s past SW female characters. This one’s gonna be one of the good ones me thinks.

Once she left the order, her subsequent appearances carried a heaviness of the past and present. I hope there’s a reasoning behind her held back demeanor other than shitty acting. Would be a huge L for this series if the title character ends up being forgetful. ETA: similar reaction to her in The Mandalorian. Good discussion about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWars/comments/obibau/unpopular_opinion_i_felt_that_rosario_dawsons/ |

The script on Sabine’s speeder bike helmet reads “BABE.”

Very good start I think. I enjoyed it.
I didn’t think I would like the actress playing Hera. Even though she doesn’t look like Hera I can pretend it’s her well enough haha. The evil little blonde is cool. I know she’s doomed to die. But I like her demeanor. She does crazy well. Baylan is going to have an interesting story to tell if they allow it. Sabine “you can never have enough explosives” Wren. Sabine is one of my most favorite characters in all of Star Wars. So far they have not disappointed. I hope she doesn’t stop blowing shit up. She can have a lightsaber and still blow shit up… Ashoka. I know rosario catches both heat and praise. I think she is the best person for the job. No one else would have the appearance so that give her a huge edge. I think she has trouble with the physical parts of the acting. Like maybe she is not athletic in real life or something? I don’t know. She looks clunky in her fight scenes to me for some reason. As to her demeanor or whatever. They want her to be like the “wise old Jedi” which she would be. They still took away the Ashoka spunkiness. She would still have that even if she was battle hardened and messed up over her friend turning evil. She doesn’t always have to be so serious. I don’t really have any complaints so far. But we are only in 2 episodes in. |

Did I miss something in Rebels? - Do witches use the force? Or is Magic different? When does Wolverine show up? View Quote Nightsisters are force users, not Jedi or Sith. The Jedi and Sith are basically two sects of a religion. The Force is worshipped and used differently across the galaxy. The Jedi Order at the time of Order 66 was about 10,000 force users give or take. Not a large, but also easy to wide in a galaxy. There are more force sensitives out there than Jedi and Sith. Wren is not force sensitive. This has been established multiple times and in episode 2 of Ahsoka. The droid pimp slaped here when he said that she sucks since she has no force abilities. |
|
|
Well, thank you. I stand corrected.
Attached File Edit: Click To View Spoiler - In Episode 2, the droid tells Wren that her Force abilities are much worse than the others he has seen (I forget the exact wording). They aren't coming right out and saying she has NO force powers, wondering if the vagueness is intentional... |

I had a difficult time staying engaged with most of the 1st episode. Episode 2 was better for me but neither episode had me glued in and giddy like previous Star Wars shows/movies. Maybe I'm just getting old and burnt out of all TV shows.

The next civil war is coming and it won't be the North vs the South or whites vs blacks. It'll be the LGBTQ+/Pedophiles vs parents/people who want to protect the children.
