I wanted to share this pic of my dog ( Storm) We were afraid we would have to put him down this week due to bad knees .. However a new Vet has him in tip top shape after just 2 weeks of treatment.... Damned glad we got that second opinion!! Isnt he a charmer?? |

His problem was not age....he is only 2 years old. His kneecaps started to pop out of the grove that they are supposed to lie in.. Last fall it was his right leg and they said it would take 4 grand to fix!! We exercised him and the problem cleared up... This winter he slipped on some ice and his left one started to "pop" out...sometimes 50 times in a day. The NEW vet ( we now have moved there for the cat as well)...said that surgery was just plain stupid. She set us up with anti inflamatory drugs to shrink the tendons back down so they would fit in the grove..... BINGO! In a week he was down to popin out maybe 3 times a day.. Its now been 4 days since he has had a single incident!! My wife loves the dog dearly and was going to be heart broken if we had put him down. On your dog.....? A co-worker of hers has a 12 year old Lab with very bad arthritus... This same vet ( he suggested him)....said to try elk anter velvet.... He put him on it 6 months ago and now the dog is running circles around a 4 year old they have as well... For what its worth.... |
