I strongly considered RUGER for my new lab puppy but in the final vote it lost out to Ranger ....

Bullet and trigger are taken locally. I had considered Ruger. It's a chocolate lab.

My neighbor has a bull mastiff named Rigby, he says he named the dog after the 416 Rigby because the dog is big, loud, and when he decides to knock something down it goes down quick. Seems like a good name to me.

A gunsmith around here has two big, beautiful black labs, named Ruger and Colt.

I've considered the following names for my next dog:

Mauser
Browning
Winchester
Colt
Remington (or Remmy)
Marlin
SIGgy
Mosin (if I get two the other will be Nagant)
Ay-Kay
Ay-Arr

The wife is OK with any of those names, believe it or not.
