Gawd, this is painful. They go out of their way to make anybody concerned about bad things potentially happening look like complete fucking wingnuts. I managed to make it this long without watching, but caught part of last week and just switched over to the mail order bride guy. Jeez. I am convinced this is an orchestrated effort to marginalize gun owners. It's like Honey Boo-Boo with dehydrated food. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

| Megan the prepper chick from the first season got wind of everyone here ragging on her here, and joined arfcom. It was a riot when she posted pics of her holding paper with scene names on it and flipping them off! She turned out to be really cool. She told us how the producers were cutting footage, and wording sceens to make the people look worse than they were. |

I watched the episode with Megan. I found it amusing. I don't think it's a mistake to prepare for when the SHTF. I think it's a mistake to talk about exactly what you think the "Doomsday" event will be and what you are planning to do when it does. There's a few basics that people need to plan for. Food, water, weapons, tools, medicine. That stuff will be useful regardless of the problem. The shelter , your plan, and your "Bug out" location could all be rendered useless depending on what cause the apocalypse. You can only do so much because of all the variables.
One thing that could sabotage your survival is being fat. It's like Sun Tzu says "In war if you can't run, it's time to die". |

I read a lot there. I don't post a lot, but I read and learn a lot. Biggest thing you learn is opsec is critical. |

THIS THREAD NEEDS MOAR MEGAN! She enlisted, probably not going to pop in here for awhile. Wasn't it just a state guard? After thinking about it, yeah, I think you're right. That dont mean what it used to.......Guard is pulling lots of active/combat time these days |
