I've had a sinus/ear/sinus/chest cold thing going on for a week now. Today is the first day out of the last seven that I don't feel like hammered shit.

In 2009 I had an ear infection. Even under Doctors care within 5 days I had septic shock. Eight days in the hospital and at first not expected to survive.
Don't hesitate to go back to your Doctor! |

Don't know if it will help at this point, but to get budding infections/pressure to release I find putting super hot tap water in a plastic bag, then sealing it, then putting the corner into your ear and letting the bag press/sit on the ear helps.

No more black ear wax but it is draining yellow colored fluid.
Also have very little hearing. Back to the doctor i guess.  |

I have fubared Eustachian tubes in both ear and had to have tubes put in 4-5 times when I was a kid and would get killer ear infections every couple years as an adult. The pressure and pain would build and build in the middle ear until it would burst through and spooge out my ear, relieving the pressure and most of the pain.
For the last 10 years, I've pulled to lengthen the cotton head on a q-tip, formed it into a tapered cone, soaked it in hydrogen peroxide and gently pushed it all the way into the ear canal while twisting. It'll hit a certain spot and then explode with fizzing. When the fizzing slows down, I'll repeat the operation with new q-tips until there is no more fizzing. Since I started this regimen, I've had no more infections. Also, get your blood sugar tested. The last time I had one of these infections, the doc said this type of bacteria is associated with diabetes, so he had me checked for that. I was pre-diabetic and just stopped eating sugary shit and have been fine ever since. |

I had a bad ear infection last year that took 2 months to finally get rid of. I ended up on pain killers and several different antibiotics.

Apparently those infections can be really serious. There was a guy at my gym that battled one for around 2 years. They had to go in and cauterize it 2 or 3 times.

I've had ruptured ear drum for about 50 years. I had so many ear infections when I was a kid there's not much of my ear drum left. Only about 30% of hearing left. I have to be very careful not to get water in it or it's guaranteed infection.
It doesn't hurt because there's nothing left to hold in pressure. |

Clean your ears out every few months at least Not until you're healed and get the all clear but use this after the doc says it's OK. |
