Sure it was an actual dremel brand one? The idea of a handheld rotary grinder like the dremel is not new, and im sure there are a lot of Chicom knockoffs

I got my dad one of the cordless Lithium Ion Dremel (actual dremel brand) tools, and its been going strong for a couple years, although the batteries take FOREVER to fully charge.
