Does anyone have anything like this? It seems like it would be nice to have name/DOB/picture on file for some of the frequent fliers. I have seen business card scanner and was wondering if that would work.

DL scanners are being more widely utilized. The frequent fliers are already in our county wide data system with pics & associated personal info without having scanners.

frequent flyers would have to be actually carrying ID, which isn't always the case around here.

My agencies uses these big time. Every road deputy has one with his computer. It scans DL's and vehicle registrations.

We have some in our dept..... makes issuing a cite much quicker because of the digitial cites.

I have the scanner and a printer in my car for e-citations, but they either haven't put the software on the computer or they haven't shown anyone how to use it because it's just lying there gathering dust.
