We've seen them advertised in magazines, but those of us with a shred of common sense won't go near them.  Nobody wants a trip to Club Fed.

However, if we got the '86 ban repealed, how many of you would go for it?

I'm not up on the processes, but if the ban went away, could one submit paperwork to the BATF, send them their $200, and then install the new parts? Is that right?

If things worked out like that, I'd be sorely tempted to modify my lower.  Until then, I'm a one squeeze/one round kind of guy because FA won't fit my budget.

For clarification for our BATF monitors: I do not have an aut-sear and do not plan on getting one unless the legality changes.  So please, don't kick down my door, shoot my dog, or burn down my house.  Thank you.

Frankly, if the '86 went away, who cares about a DIAS, as a SOT dealer could simply register the reciever.

It really doesn't matter to me, as my CLEO is a nonsigner...

In a nutshell that is basically correct. A quality DIAS would probably sell in the $50-75 range then the $200 transfer tax. Then again, you could always just file a form 1 and then mill out and drill the sear hole in your ar15 receiver and have your own registered receiver.

I'd get a whole bunch of them.    How much can they cost to make?   15-20dollars when in mass production, at the most?    couple that with the easy availability of ar15s and you've got a winner.

And i'd see if John Norrell could make me some 10-22 FA pacs for $100 or so, if he'd do it.

admit that that is not the reason you don't have class III, because there are many qualified cleo's in any area, and you can always go corp

I have two juristictions, the state police and the county sheriffs office.  The state has a policy of deferring to the county, and the county Sheriff flat out refuses (I have that in writing).  Unfortunately, the judges and Commonwealths attorney are even longer shots.

I was considering the incorporation option, but lost interest in that...

Actually, where he lives you would not guess it would be a problem.  It's weird...the counties around here are a pain in the ass, but the City of Richmond's rabidly anti-gun CLEO will sign.

Hmmm... I live in Loudoun, but I've never had the $$ to pursue any C3 toys, so I don't know if ours
will sign or not..... Anybody know?

When all the wars in the World settle down and the demand for Ammo is less, then the Ammo makers might just use thier lobby force and thier moneys clout to push for such a recall!

Because FA will definatly sell more ammo!

Till then with the Militarys demand there is no need for such a push!

Actually, Stan Berry is very receptive to CIII from what I hear.
