I have a dumb question for you LEO-guys. I was watching an episode of Cops and saw where an officer was chasing a stolen car. The two occupants ditched it and bailed out on foot in two different directions. One was caught. The other got away. Here's my question - in this type of situation, how do you decide who to chase down? The closest one or is it always the driver? |

Quoted: It's usually almost second nature to hit the lock button on the way out of the door.It would seem to make good sense to not lock the patrol car on your way out too, right? That way the other guy doesn't loop back and steal it or gain access to weapon/radios inside. |

So you take the keys with you everytime, or do you have a second set you use to unlock it again? (i.e. leave it running to save time taking the keys out of the ignition and to not have the battery die). |

Yes, I have a common key for the Vics, but all our new cars are Chargers, and they don't all have common keys. |

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: if you're fast enough you can catch them without ever loosing sight of your car. Or, if you have long arms and the extended reach taser cartridges. ![]() http://www.ohgizmo.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/xrep_banner05.jpg Shotgun Taser FTW! I wish, AFAIK their like $100+ a shot though. |
