This happened south of me. My buddy is on the SOS bomb squad  and worked to scene. All the mortars were supposed to be inert, but someone screwed up. I saw the photo's of the two killed, gruesome is being kind. RIP

According to Miller, it is not unusual for a mortar round to be at the facility because they often recycle items from the military. He called the incident an accident, and not homicide.

Happened before, it will happen again.

The only twist is this is now an environmental issue... Illegal hazardous waste disposal.  

People I know in OSD are going to make the Army's life Hell over this.
