One of my squad mates just left monda to go with them. He was supposed to of left in NOVEMBER.
That is when his one year leave of absence started. It is now March. He had to resign because of them and loose 8 years on the job.

I am in the pipe line to leave in late April with a year contract w/ them to Iraq.
I started the process in late Nov 2004.

They are a big company , have a pretty good rep just understand that you are a number to them more than anything else.

They do what they say within the confines of having to work for the US Dept of State.
Kind of like being in the Army , Hurry up and wait.

The process remindes me of trying to get my first Police job , lots of paperwork and waiting.

Overall I can't complain to much about my dealings with them , just have patients.

There are a lot of companys running contracts for DOS in Iraq that will promise you the world and not deliver , DynCorp just makes reasonable promises , keeps them , and expects you to do the same.
Of course , YMMV

I like to have as much info as possible on different jobs before committing to anything .
I've been getting some good responses so far, the good bad and the ugly. That is what I wanting to here.

Okla-Lawman- that really sux, Ive had to take a similar bite like that over a "golden" job.

Para069- Slow and steady wins the race? gotcha! Reasonable promises I can deal with and can do the same .
BTW , what part of "Bama?
