I think I only ever saw one in real life like 10 years ago.  Never shot one, but I was less than impressed with the finish.

That same $300 will get you a new Taurus, or a used S&W K-frame or Ruger.  You'll be much more satisfied with fit & finish, have no concerns about reliability or strength, and have an easier time finding holsters and grips.

My first handgun as a Windicator blued .357mag.  I sold it after a few months and upgraded to a Ruger P89.

It will work.  But it won't win any beauty contests.
