Surefire E2D with a TNVC dual output lamp.

If I weren't balls deep in Surefires, I'd go with a Fenix LD40.

Fenix AAA light on the keyring, a Fenix 2xAA light in the truck and another on the nightstand

Previously a Fenix L1D CE, replaced it today with a Lumintop L1C

Pretty pleased with it so far. Trying to decide if I want to go with rechargeables or not. I just don't know enough about them to make a good choice right now.

I used to have an Ld10 and the switch went bad.  I sent it back for a new one and the same thing happened 2 months later.

I now carry the previous model of this.

I've got a SF E2D with a Ku LED that's great inside, but lacks throw.

I had a TK12 or 13.  How does the LD40 compare?  Looks much smaller.

Can pick up a Quark Tactical 123 R5 for only $47, don't forget the 7or8% off coupon code.

Love my Quark Tactical 123^2 R5 and have a mini 123 as a backup and just recently got the Maelstrom R5 for ~$80 that is going in my outdoor pack.

I really like my fenix P3D, but 123s get awfully expensive for an edc light, and I want something small with a pocket clip.  Hopefully the LD10+ fits the bill.

Had a power outage few days ago at the hotel I was staying at, but had left my lights at home due to people borrowing and not putting back etc.  Maybe with a smaller pocket portable light I can avoid doing that again.

For everyone carrying the 4"+ lights where do you keep them?

Fenix PD20 or a 4Sevens Quark 123 Tactical (no clip).
I also have the Surefire E1B Backup and a Ra Clicky but they are just a little too big for my EDC situation.  So one rides in my GHB and one is in my car door pocket.

I keep a Fenix PD20+ clipped to the cell phone pocket of my Carhartts.  It does everything I need it to, except that it has an infuriating tendency to switch to the strobe mode if you look at the tailcap wrong.   When I loan it to people, they invariably bump it into the strobe mode on accident, at which point they assume they've done something wrong.  So, they hastily attempt to figure out how to switch the strobe mode off by twisting the bezel, and they take the damn light apart.  Every time.  I have to explain this when I loan it, so I end up looking like a pedantic asshole.

If you're looking at this light, the Quark tactical 123 appears to be a perfectly good substitute with an idiot proof switch, and I believe it's cheaper with a better emitter right now (when available).  I got one for my Dad for Christmas.  The battery that came with it didn't workt, but a Duracell did.  I'm pretty sure it was just the wrapper on the cell sticking up too far.

I carry the exact light you bought every day in a shirt pocket.    Great light.   It gets a ton of use and still has never failed.  I carried the version without the clip before that to work, and on days off I have that in my pocket.

You may laugh, but right now my EDC flashlight is one of the new 2xAA LED Mini-Maglites.

Carried a standard Mini on the job for years. Convenient, but pretty anemic.

This new one is a whole 'nuther animal. Almost as bright as my SF G2L.

I added a clicky tailcap.

I plan to eventually upgrade the G2L with a drop-in and a clicky tailcap, so it will regain the throne. But for now the Mini-Mag is the stuff!

Just got a Surefire E1B.  Love the light, but not too wild about the pocket clip, doesn't really seem too secure.
