That show and later CHiPs were two of my favorites when I was a kid. Until Roy opened a roadhouse that had problens and he hired a guy he heard was the best cooler in the business. Then it was down hill from there. Roadhouse was a true masterpiece. Truly Oscar worthy. |

Squad 51 Engine 51.............. LOVED that show. Dixie McCall: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_WsVxZaxTSok/S2k2UUVNmcI/AAAAAAAAAwQ/DfgsFRq7ccY/s400/e.jpg Married to Bobby Troup (Dr. Joe Early) IRL, IIRC.
Figured she would have fallen for the more suave Robert Fuller (Dr. Kelly Brackett). |

Dr. Joe Early and Dr. Kelly Brackett were both characters on Adam12 for the cross over episode |

LOVED this show! My other fave was Rescue 911 narrated by Shatner. I never saw the show until I had been a paramedic for about 25 years. I had been a paramedic not all that long after that show was on the air (started in 1983) and I was really surprised that most of the protocols they were using were very realistic. I had of course always heard about the show but never watched it until I saw it on NetFlix. I watched several of the episodes. I happened to watch two shows in a row in which they responded to a call and there was a loose tiger. I decided it was ridiculous and never watched it again. FWIW: I have been on Rescue 911 as well as COPS and a couple of those other shows. |

I always liked how the doctors at Rampart seemed to have nothing to do besides wait for radio calls from Squad 51 Emergency! was one of the childhood memories that influenced my decision to change careers and go into medicine. Sadly, they did away with the "sip coffee and wait for radio calls" specialty before my time. |
