. . . seems to have shit the bed.  Anyone else having issues?  I'd change providers, except for the fact that I've had my Mindspring e-mail address for 20 years.  Tech "support" has been no help.

Is that like AOL or something?

Earthlink's spam blocker has taken a dump, crap is coming though now and I cannot add it to the Spamblock list.

Some folks here do not understand the reason for staying with an established email address.  It ils kinda like not changing your phone number when you get a new whizbang phone before they made keeping the old number.

Been with Earthlink for 12 years.  Yes it is a pain but I would rather not change email providers like other folks change their skivies.
Some sites associated with work/professional affiliations do not allow email from 'free' sites like Yoohoo and Geemail.  That is their rules.  Some clients do not contact you often but you want to be there when they do.  If they cannot find you they go elsewhere.

OP, its probably your INTERNET www browser. Netscape Navigator bogs down my modem too. Microsoft just came out with Internet Explorer. You should try it.

Holy shit, I haven't seen that ISP name since I was in middle school.  They were our first dialup ISP after we ditched AOhell.

...goddammit, I blew right past post 15k.

Earthlink webmail works fine for me here.

Earthlink is still around.  It is what I told my parents to get for dial up back in the 90's.. and naturally when they offered broadband via DSL I told them to upgrade to the DSL since they were not cable customers and the cable in the area sucked at the time.. especially when it was Covad DSL you were getting.

They still have it, and iirc it is now 8mbps down and 2mbps up.  Not the fastest, but all they do is streaming media, email, forums, chat, and some work stuff.

wow, just checked and all those dial-up providers are still around, and still selling dialup...  netzero, juno, earthlink, etc. That's great! I wonder how many people are still on dialup.

I haven't heard those names in a long time.  Maybe a lot of rural users out there, that aren't close enough for DSL and don't have cable?

I think you need to upgrade to the latest version of NCSA Mosiac.  Let me know if you need a Gopher link for the download.
