So I fell off the wagon and stopped working out for 2 months or so. I started going back to the gym last week. I did a full body workout just to get all the muscles used to working again and then I resumed my 3-day split. I forgot what it's like to be hungry all the time. And since I don't have a wife, I don't have anyone around to tell her to cook me food everytime I get hungry. Since I started up again I get damn hungry more often and if I don't eat I get REALLY hungry and all I can think is, "Damn right about now I am probably eating my own muscles." So what are some tricks you guys use to have convenient food available all the time? I usually cook up maybe 3-4 chicken breasts at a time or 3 or 4 porkchops or whatever and some rice or other grains and feed off of that for a couple days but I get damn sick of chicken after 2 days and I have to eat something else. So what are the easiest ways you've found to keep a variety of foods at hand to conveniently have helthful food whenever you need it? I do have some nutrition bars (promax) but those get expensive and I'm still not convinced that they have everything a man needs. -Nick Viejo. |

I try to eat at 3 hour intervals. From the time I get up to the time I go to bed. By eating so many small meals you will never be hungry. When your body is hungry it will start to use the muscles for food. By eating small freqeunt meals, your body will not use that muscle to feed itself. Examples of my daily meal plan: 1. 6 egg whites and 1 slice of bread 2. Protein shake made w/ water, not milk. 2 Scoops for 40 grms of pro. 3. 1 grilled chicken breast w/ 1/4 cup of rice and 1 cup of veggies 4. another protein shake 5. 2 pieces of fish(Cod or tilpia. spelling?) w/ 1/4 cup of rice and 1 cup of veggies 6. another shake before bed. I will exchange a can of Tuna for the chicken breast every other day and chicken or steak for the fish. High protein, moderate carb and low fat diet. This meal plan has 230-280 grms of protein depending on what you choose. I cook all my meals for the week on sunday and keep them in tupperware. hope this helps. |
