I basically lost sight in my left eye last May, which happens to be my shooting eye.  Didn't lose it completely, I just have no lens or iris, so the only thing I see out of that eye is just a blur.  Anyway, I came across an Elbit Falcon and was wondering if it would help me at all.  The only problem is that my AR has the carry-handle, so I would need a flattop to mount it to.
Does anyone here have one or have used one?  I read the write-up here but would like to hear some other opinions.

OLD tech. Much better exists these days. Still, not bad if you get one at a good price. There are carry-handle mounts for them (extend out the 'front' of the carry handle, not on top). Probably not too easy to find either these days.

Dunno if they would help you much; they are just red dot sights...

ETA:

The mount usually seen with them:

I have no personal experience with them, but they are supposedly very durable although obviously older technology.  They did make a version(hell, it may be the standard version for all I know) with a built in carry handle mount that positions it in front of the carry handle like the Aimpoint or Trijicon Reflex goose neck mounts.

I saw that picture when I did a Google image search, but thought it looked kind of cheesy.  But I can't argue with the price... it's free.  And it's never been used.

It is old tech, 70's tech to be sure.  I have three of them and they are hard to find.  I have one of the first two to enter the country, then I have two of the later models with boxes.  They are collectable but an aimpoint or Colt rail sight does the same thing.

Now send me his contact info so I can four.  LOL
