First noticed today. I pulled into my garage and applied the brakes. The driver's side parking light illuminated. Removed my foot-it's gone. Had someone else apply the brake while I watched-for sure its the parking light. The driver's side rear signal also comes on. All four (font and back) turn signals work when applied.
2008 Toyota DC 4x4. I had a HID kit installed a last year. The right lamp has gone out a few times. Its been fine since December until earlier this week it flickered-then died while driving. Have yet to get it replaced. Never noticed the parking light problem until today. Any ideas? thanks! *** Had the place that did the wiring look at it, seems the converter went bad. They fixed it FOR FREE. thanks to all those who helped. Jeff |

Check the brake light bulbs.Occasionally the filaments will touch and cause voltage to feedback through the turn signals.
For some reason I am thinking that the Toyotas use a separate turn signal and brake light bulb though. Also have you added a trailer connector lately.Could cause the same problem if it does have separate bulbs and the wrong style connector was used. |

I had a trailer wiring harness installed but it was over a year ago. I have towed several times without any problems. I will pull the brake light bulbs and look. thanks |
