So what kind do you use, and what kind do you recommend? And where do you suggest I get a set from? Usage will be mostly rifle range, trap shooting, and hunting.

Doubtless this has already been asked, so a point to the right threads would also be most appreciated.

I use the Peltor Tacticals. They work pretty well.

I know there are better more expensive models but I've been using these for over 6 years with no problems.

The ones I use are by "Radians." I don't think they're of brag-to-your-buddies quality, but they work for me.

Try to find some that have one switch that controls volume on both ears...I don't like having separate controls on each muff.

Midway has some cheap ones that work ok if you don't need a brand name.
