So i picked up a 48 volt DC fan tray 2.5 amps it has two screws on the back on one for positive and one for negative. i'm not an electrician and i dont pretend to be. What is going to be the best, and safest way to power this thing? |

it wouldnt happen to have four fans would it? if so it's likely just four 12v fans wired in series. 6 fans. http://i46.tinypic.com/14vtf1v.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/xcvqlz.jpg Looks like 9 to me... so its possibly nine 5v fans in series. A spare computer power supply would easily power the fans if rewired to parallel 5v if that's the case. Just another option. |

What is going to be the best, and safest way to power this thing? With 48 volts DC? 48 volts DC is Telephone Line Voltage. I didn't know fans used that. |
