My mom would have been 74 today.

She was a big Elvis fan and I remember coming home from school and her being upset that he had died . I lost her in '85 in a car accident.

I saw him get off of his plane before a concert when I was a kid. He was dead less than 2 months later. I still remember the day he died like it was yesterday.

Not just Memphis. Happy birthday! I turned 50 today. in the years immediately following his death it was the only thing I could get on the radio. I like a lot of Elvis stuff but I was pretty happy when they finally stopped that shit.
