Just heard on Fox radio news that Elway just endorsed McCain/Palin. Good to hear that a guy I look up to is actually worth looking up to... |
Trust me man... I've been cursing the donkeys all week. Maybe Jay will learn to shut his mouth and PROVE he's better than Elway. He ain't fit to wash Elway's jock strap yet... |
agree. My ex-wife was from CO. Would go out there for holidays on the farm, etc. We were over at their neighbors house watching the game one time and they were all talking about what a fucker Reeves was, and sucking off Elway. Well, trying to be part of the conversation I mentioned that I watched a special on ESPN about that and they said Elway was the majority of the problem with Reeves, that he would only do it one way, and that they found a coach that would do it his way and sent Reeves packing. Mentioning maybe Reeves wasn't the fucker that they believed him to be. They all just stared at me, like i was the biggest fucking retard ever. |
You might as well have taken a shit in their kitchen sink. |
If i had it to do all over.... |
|
Elway is reliably conservative and usually comes out backing someone at election time. Of course, the online forum for the newspaper in Boulder is full of nasty little hissy fits on this. My favorite was one saying he's only fit to manage a sandwich shop. Right. (He has a degree in economics from Stanford, and is brighter and better educated than most of the people on that forum I daresay.) |
I've got a friend who lives in Boulder. I dunno how you can even drive down the street there without caving into the overwhelming urge to drive your car down the sidewalk at high speed and rid the world of a few more scum socialists. Oops... did I just say that out-loud?
|
It's a beautiful area. The recreation opportunities are fantastic. If you climb, there is an embarassment of rock within 20 minutes. Plenty of flakes, plenty of athletes, plenty of far-left wingnuts. The discussions in the paper centering around prairie-dog control are wildly entertaining, and there are plenty of us stoking the flames in those discussions. Generally, I think of the garden-variety socialist around here as a poor, deluded fool, and I'm satisfied throwing logical monkey wrenches into their kool-aid-influenced thinking. As for the actual Socialists, fuck 'em. |
I worked there for 3 years, won't ever go back unless the alternative is CA, then I would have to think about it for a minute or two..... |
He's a great QB, and one of the best of all time, but not the greatest.......I would rank Joe Montana as a greater QB
|
Back in the day, some sportswriter said that if Elway and Montana had traded places on the 49ers and Broncos, Elway would've had about 15 Super Bowl rings, and Joe Montana would be selling used cars. |
Something like that. Elway had such crappy teams around him for so long, yet he still won football games. |
Yup. If Elway had actually had an offensive line and receivers more of those years he would have put up many more wins, including SB's. |
Maybe, but then I take what alot of sportswriters say with a grain of salt........But, I like Elway and have always considered him a great QB, and a pretty good guy as well.....I was glad to see Denver finally win the big one with him at the helm.
|
If Joe Montana stood behind the line Elway stood behind, he wouldn't have lasted the 1st quarter of his first game. |
thats no shit. I remember walking out of games and that guy is always standing on top of a milk crate with a sign that says "Jesus Saves" and preaching the gospel. 9 times out of 10, the guy would say something along the lines of "Jesus Saves!!! Repent!!!" followed by some guy in the crowd yelling "ELWAY SAVES!!!!" |
I always talked shit to the Save Jesus guy on the southwest side of the old Mile High. Even when I was a 10 year old with my folks at the game.
|
Fixed your error. But Elway is pretty good. I'll still never forgive him for beating the Pack in the superbowl. I still have a picture hanging in my den of when I met him in Vegas at a bar convention. |
No kidding, I was a Marino fan growing up, but seriously Elway used to get annihilated back there when he wasn't running for his life every single down. |
Brett the prick? Mr I'm gonna retire but then not? Mr Sterling Sharp should not hold out and play for the love of the game, but then Favre does the exact same thing the following year? The only thing Brett Favre did that was greater than Elway was cry more. |
montana went out a crumpled mess. elway went out a winner... |
