My sister & nephew used my bband conn to surf & play @#%^^^$%^&&* computer games online. Now my email keeps trying to send about 200 porn related emails, but not successfully. I've updated & ran my Norton Net Security, scan the email stuff & still can't kill this bug. I have, however, locked my 'puter up tighter than a frogs ass so they can't do it again. Any tips on what will kill this damn thing? TIA Gary eta 'cause I can't spell |

Sorry - you're owned by a spammer. Worst case - back up your data and format/recover the thing from a clean CD. The bitch is if you've been "rooted" the spammer's program now own's your system - you no longer do. They have the ability to hide themselves deeper than a wood tick on a hound dog. Even Spybot Search and Destroy, Microsoft Anti-spyware, and Ad-Aware might not find them. You probably have a trojan installed on your machine so something like Trojan scan might help. www.windowsecurity.com/trojanscan/ On line free scanner. |
