Entitlements seems like that's all the American people and corporations think about anymore.
you have Wisconsin public workers think they are entitled to more then private workers, as Wisconsin is broke everyone of our elected officials are afraid to talk about social security, as we are in over 14 trillion in debt Banks and corporations want handouts, as we are borrowing 40 cents of every dollar We run commercials on how easy it is to get SS disability, as we fall from being a super power Giving people unemployment for over 2 years, as China is working on finding the next fuel source that will put the country that invents it number one for the next 100 years. I did not live back then but read about how we came together during WW II, and sacrifice for what was best for the country, not what we each deserved. Hate to see what would happen now if you told people when and how much meat they could eat |

Hate to see what would happen now if you told people when and how much meat they could eat It takes some shocking event like Pearl Harbor or 9-11 for that to happen. People are scared, angry and demanding leadership. If they are told to sacrifice at that time they will. The rest of the time they just want whatever they can get... and frequently for someone else to pay the bill. |

I just think times are different, how long did it take after 9-11 before we were back to the same crap 3 weeks maybe a month before we started blaming each other |

President John F. Kennedy's Inaugural Address, he provided what is quite possibly one of his most famous quotes:
"My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you –– ask what can you do for your country." Now "My fellow Americans, ask what your country can do for you –– not what can you do for your country." just slide the Not down a little and now you have the American citizen |

It is no longer "We the People"... It's a society based off of it's all about "ME, ME, ME" We care nothing for each other, but only care for our own well being. We The People doesn't mean sucking off the govt [taxpayer] titty. No one should ever be ENTITLED to other people labor and income. I care about me and my family far more then I care about yours because my responsibilities lie with taking care of them [and to do that, I need to take care of myself], not forking over my money to someone else to take care of theirs. |

When did someone become 'entitled' to part of my paycheck? When the 19th Amendment passed, this entitlement mentality was guaranteed. Almost 60% of our dismal budget probs are from Social Security, Welfare, and Medicare: every single one passed with the same alarmist non-sense about "won't somebody think of the widows" when what they really meant was "we want to take & re-distribute wealth in the name of sexual revolution." Sub-Saharan Africa highlights perhaps the most notable "gimme gimme gimme" entitlement mentality on earth, and that is precisely what happens when a society becomes female-dominated [Marxists]. What you're seeing in America has already happened so many times before, recently in Rhodesia and South Africa. There was a mass mob robbery of a convenience store in Minnesota, kinda common in the American ghettos, which are almost an absolute Matriarchy thanks to Welfare. 2,400 years ago, Aristophenes wrote Women In Parliament, which predicted precisely what has happened here since it was passed. Manhood is attacked and destroyed, and women force what is essentially modern Marxism into the public realm. The Founders wrote a tad more gently, about "voting themselves funds from the treasury". Democracy (unlimited, unqualified suffrage) doesn't work... forgive my spelling |

My sentiments exactly!! |
