Kind of... I always loved the Patton tanks in the mixed bag of green and tan Army men so I bought a M60A1 tank.

I am still looking for a complete set of the Britains Ltd. paratroopers.

They look like The Wild Geese (1978) cast.

I had that dinosaur set.  Different colors but the molds are identical/copied.  Except for some reason mine didn’t have the mastodon.

Mine was the more colorful MPC instead of Marx.  Mine had more pieces but the picture is pretty representative.

Probably Christmas morning ‘72 led to years of playing on the floor with them.  Puppies, time, younger siblings, etc. did them in over the years.  Thanks for the post.  It brings back some memories.

I bought a Ninja Stretch Armstrong once. I made the mistake of using it as a decoration at work and set him on my monitor. This was when we still had CRTs and he crystallized and hardened.

I have bought a stupid number of these old diecast metal jet toys.
They have retractable gear and removable plastic ordnance.

I want to buy my M19 BB gun full auto MG that ran on glorious freon R12 cans. Could buy a 6 pack of cans in the 70's for $6.00. But they cost to much now

I wanted to... best buy  of all places,  had a star wars toy, the Imperial Troop Transport.... it's just a star wars vehicle that carries like 8 action figures.

Back inthe day, you could only get it through the sears Christmas catalog.   The new, mandalorian version was best but... cool, but not worth  $100

No vintage toys, but over the course of a couple years I did track down all the Terran Trade Authority/Galactic Encounters science fiction art books from the 70s/80s.

Other than the traditional metal Tonka toys, plastic Army guys and Matchbox cars I really don't recall having much in the way of toys. There were a ton of books, which were passed onto my kids if they survived that long. Along with a couple of other toys that survived that long. I just don't recall a whole lot of toys, and anything I did have was passed into my younger brother and mostly didn't survive round two with him.
edit: all you guys posting pictures of old plastic toys...you all really display that stuff for people to look at as if its the family good china collection?

I really would not mind having a scuba joe with the footlocker.
Maybe the Apollo capsule because I wanted one but never got it I got the Joe atv with the king tut sarcophagus.
But reproductions would be fine.
I would not pay the $$$ for the originals.

Cap bomb rocket.    im not sure that's the official name. But you put a cap between the round nose and the fins and whip it at peoples feet and it explodes
Its tons of fun.
I found it at a olde western store.

Also had to buy mouse trap game.  Just to amuse myself

The only thing that separates the men from the boys is the price of their toys.

Picked this up a couple of months ago when I bought my wife a Shield .380 EZ.  Pawn shop made us a screaming deal on both.

1989 vintage Marlin 60 in excellent shape.  22" barrel, 18 round tube, Vintage 2.5x Bushnell .22 scope made in Japan.  My grandfather taught me how to shoot on one of these, so I snagged it as soon as I saw it.  Walked out the door with both the Shield and the Marlin for $400.    Busting clays at 100yds gets almost boring with it.

I have 2 of those. First one I bought when I was a kid in 1977 (18) with the bunny stock. Shot most likely 20,000 rounds through it and it started jamming. Bought a new one in about 82 or 83. Put new parts in the original and still shoot them both. Love them.

I had a ton of Britains as a kid.  Cowboys, Indians, Union Cav. and Infantry etc.  My aunt lived in England at the time and would bring/send them as birthday and Christmas gifts.  I loved the sets that had separate heads, guns, gun belts, rifles etc.  Swoppets they were called.  I did have the modern Brit infantry with SLRs.

Stompers...

That was the only time in my life I actually remember my Father get down on the floor and play with me as a child. I had several of them and the track for them.

I don't have much in the way of my childhood left, but I have picked up a couple of the Masters of the Universe figures. Mostly some of the ones I had, and the couple I wanted really bad. They serve no purpose other than nostalgia.
