I know that the hardcore commando dudes are going to hate this idea, but there is an excellent lock on the market that I use on my night table gun. It's called Gun Lok This lock can be removed in 1 second flat if you know the trick. Definitely worth checking out if you have kids or irresponsible adults around. www.tactgear.com/new_page_30.htm |
I'll bet you can arrange the pins to be able to do it. And like it or not, there are some guys whose home requires that a lock be used rather than risking an accident, unlike some of the loonies who are willing to risk an accident, and unlike some guys who really don't need a lock. |
Having a loaded gun with a trigger lock is not a good idea. You are now relying on the safetys of the gun. |
1 second flat from a deep sleep at 3AM ![]() We did a gun lock drill during an FDCC match, the results were amazing. It took a long ass time relatively speaking for folks who were pumped on adrenelin to remove a simple key lock and engage the target. Trust me, when the boogy man just tiptoed into your bedroom doorway, forget the lock and just throw the gun at his head, it's the only hope you have

![]() Seriously, what is the instant access. Are there buttons? How many? How many different codes? On another note, it looks like you have to point the muzzle at your face in order to look at the lock as you insert the key. Is that so? Is that a good idea? ![]() |
...about as brilliant as a lock that isn't really a lock. |
