| Have a 80 GB Western Digital external drive that is about 4 years old and probably ready to bite the dust. What is the good brand to go with these days. Reviews are hit or miss on new egg. Don't need a large amount of space. |
Another vote...picked up one of the older Seagate FreeAgentPro drives (750gb, with USB2.0 and eSata....the newer ones have USB2.0, eSata, and Firewire) for about $110 bucks. Looks slick, very quiet, very fast even on USB, what more can you ask for? Plus it comes with very good backup software if you need it. ONLY complaint, which is minor....backup software works like crap with Vista... |
