Eyes open or shut, I am seeing a "C" shaped object with a fucked up 'rotating' herringbone pattern. I can't tell which eye it is coming from. It is present with my eyes either open or shut. Anything within the "C" shape is slightly blurry as well. Fucking annoying as hell. |

Quoted: Sparks too? My doc told me that mess was a migrane and to be glad I didn't get the associated headache. Yeah, now that you mention it. I had a similar occurrence last year and the doc said it was ocular hypertension. Like I said in my op, it's annoying as hell. |

I have this issue a lot. It usually requires a day or two off from work. Here's how it goes,
Ring, ring, ring... Me -Hey boss, I can't come in today. Something's up with my eye. I can't see. Boss - Ummm, okay. Good luck. Me - Thanks. I hope to be in tomorrow. Click Wife -What's wrong with your eye. Me - Somethings up. I can't see going into work today. |

Quoted: The object has cleared from my vision, but I am starting to feel pain growing behind my eyes. Yep I'd say clear Migraine case. Aura disturbance followed by pain. I usually get pain within 20 mins of the aura. As soon as I see the distrubance, which is sometimes just a blank spot in my vision but usually a "C" shaped bright growing aura, I take a Tylenol with a cup of coffee. Just my thing that helps dull the pain enough to still function considering I have yet to find anything that stops the pain. You might also start feeling neck soreness. Muscle relaxers help sometimes as well. My advice is to experiment with different mild pain reducers like Tylenol and Aspirin along with home made remedies. Different things work for different people. A doc will probably just prescribe an anti-psychotic which have nasty side effects and might be addictive. Edit: Get out of the light. You'll probably gain photosensitivity. |

Go see your eye doctor asap. Best case scenario is that it's just a "floater" or a symptom of a migraine and you're out of a little bit of cash and time for the appointment. worst case scenario is that you ignore it and the end result is loss of vision
It could be a symptom of high ocular pressure which then becomes glaucoma or a sign of retinal detachment. I'm not a doctor, but I've had 11 eye surgeries in the last 18 months and have had an ongoing issue with high ocular pressure with the end result being loss of vision in my right eye. The last thing you want is for something that seems harmless to become something that leads to vision loss which you could have prevented by just seeing a doctor |

Quoted: Quoted: Scintillating scotoma. Could be a number of things including some bad shit like a detached retina or a bleeder. Go get it checked out. I looked up Scintillating Scotoma and found this .gif: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/RichP1269/Scintillating_scotoma_zps01c62be3.gif That is what it is, only the 'fill' is of darker cross hatching and much more pronounced. I'll take a wild guess that you can still see it in a dark room with your eyes closed. |

See An Eye Doctor NOW!!!!! I had an eye issue about a year ago and I was lucky it was only a fluid leak in the membrane behind my retina and it fixed itself had it been blood I could have had permanent damage Central serous retinopathy Had this very thing last year also. Everything seemed farther away and I could not focus both eyes on the same object. Dr. said it was fairly large amount of fluid. It took three months to go away, but is slowly returning now. Lucky it is not in my dominant eye. |
