I'm surprised how many people still make lamentations regarding this picture: General Nguyen Ngoc Loan executing a Viet Cong prisoner in Saigon Apparently, this picture destroyed his life. He was wounded in combat and eventually evac'd to the US. He opened a pizza parlor in DC but had to close it down when the residents learned his identity and started harassing him. To his dying day, Eddie Adams (the photographer) regretted what that photo did to General Loan.  Mrs Nguyen Thi Lop, 56, the widow of Bay Lop murdered by General Nguyen Ngoc Loan during the Tet Offensive. He was captured whilst attacking the Naval Headquarters in Saigon. Yeah? I wonder if she had any crocodile tears for her husbands victims. I wonder if she knows that her husband was the commander of a VC death squad and was executed after he had been apprehended for murdering RVN national police officers and their families. Her piece of shit husband got better than he deserved. Fuck Bay Lop! |
