Here's what's going to happen. A man with a slight accent will kiss your ass. They will send you an RMA label. You'll send it back. Two weeks later you will get it back. They will tell you they most definitely fixed the problem. Shit will still be broken. Repeat this process a few times. Eventually the warranty will expire. You'll write them a nasty letter. They'll kiss your ass some more and let you send it back again. Shit will still be broken.

this is the second time with the same model motherboard.. audio fails
first time, newegg replaced the mb, no problem seeing how this was the second time for the same issue, there is probably others with the same issue, so I opted to call ASUS direct.... was on hold, as you were able to observe, then dumped at the end of their day.
now I'm on hold with newegg, I was directed to the right department, and then dumped by their system (3x so far) trying another option, now still on hold .

Everyone fellates their brand, but the minute you end up getting a faulty product, they will take a shit on you because they know people will still fellate their brand at the end of the day. They could have replaced my damn laptop for less than the costs of all of the fixes they allegedly did. They allegedly swapped out the hard drive three or so times, the mobo once, and then the last time I sent it in they swapped out the hard drive again. The hard drive was never the fucking problem. It constantly BSOD'd. I can't say what the problem was because lord knows I checked everything I could think of, and they either couldn't figure it out either so said fuck it, and just swapped HDs, or they didn't even bother trying to figure it out and said fuck it and swapped the HDs. Back in march or so the thing stopped taking a charge. I've put off fixing it because it's been such a pain in the ass I don't even know if it's worth dumping money into. I reckon I'll take it to a local shop and if they can fix it at a reasonable price I'll give it one last shot, but the minute I get one more BSOD I'm trowing it out the window. |

actually got to talk to someone at newegg.... a bit past their warranty, but not asus.
if asus doesn't come through, they can act on my behalf.... why does this shit always happen on a friday night or saturday?
I think I will go to the store tomorrow and get a add-on sound card to get me through till a new MB can arrive.... |
