Well first of all 3 months ago I got a Iphone and I love it. The story begins with a stream crossing and a leaky waterproof case thus my Iphone got wet and would not charge. It worked fine but wouldn't hold a charge due to it shorting out the batt. I send it back to Apple with the understanding if it is from water damage they will call me and it will cost $200 to replace/repair it due to the warranty not covering water damage. 2 weeks later after tons of calls/lost phone etc they finally ship me a new Iphone. Its the wrong one (received a 8g 3G, I sent in a 16g 3GS) Due to the mess up instead of the refurbish 16g 3GS for the $200 out of warranty replacement fee, I will be getting a brand new 32G 3GS IPHONE for free I still am not holding my breath, as it supposably will be here next week. I have to say Apple is one hell of a company to try and make up for there screw up. Small price to pay for being out of a Iphone for 2 weeks Next time I will make sure the plastic back is not between the seal when I close my pelican case. Pics will follow next week of new Iphone FREE |

Just the Iphone Quoted: You own Apple products huh http://image.srtforums.com/srtforums/images/smilies/outofcloset.gif j/k that is pretty cool of them...actually that is really great customer service |

Quoted: What kind of case were you using? I'm planning on getting an otterbox 2000 which is waterproof (down to 100ft), floats, basically crush proof, and see through. All for $12. Can your case beat that or should I stick to the otterbox? Maybe I just got a junk one, but I got an Otterbox once (not for a phone, just a case for misc small stuff) and took it with me to some rafting waters and it was full of water in no time. It sure precluded my trusting their stuff in the future. |

I have received nothing but great CS from them from day one. Oh please. I'm a huge fan too, but I'm not going to lie like that and say they have good CS. While Apple makes the best products, they have the worst customer service. There's a reason so many people call it AppleDontCare. I was just in the largest Apple store in the state today trying to get a new MacBook laptop fixed, and they refused. In the two hours I was there, I saw them piss off one customer after another by refusing to honor their warranties. Some of the people had just bought the items today. Their service is as horrible as their products are great.z |

Actually I was neck deep in Boiling creek It did work after it dried out, the battery just wouldnt take a charge. Their CS does suck, but in my case I basicaly fucked up my Iphone(totaly my fault) and they are giving me a new better phone without charging me the replacement fee due to the screw up in CS. Quoted: Do they cover you while on the iphone while jumping? lol Nice to see you post. |

Apple has great CS... I was having some problems with my 3GS and posted something about it on the Apple Discussion Forums, Apple called me about the problem. Pretty good of them.
The Otterbox for the iPhone isn't waterproof, just resistant (and not like watches) you cannot submerge it. |

My only experience with Apple CS was less than good. I had the first video iPod which died out of the blue one year & one week after I got it. When I called Apple to ask about it, they basically told me there was nothing they could do and it'd be best if I bought a new one at Wal-mart... |

I've been using Apple off and on for about 20 years, their customer service is the best in the industry, bar none. Now, that doesn't mean it's always perfect, and I've had at least one legitimate problem that took some time to get ironed out, but overall nobody in the consumer world even comes close to their customer service. |

Well my Dilemma has ended.... zero $$$$$ paid to apple (no replacement fee) 1+ month of my time wasted Here are the results/what I got for my trouble. New 16G 3GS Iphone An extra refurbished 8g 3G Iphone (I was told to keep in case mine ever breaks again) 2 IPOD shuffles The only thing out of pocket was one month of service I paid for a broke phone And all of my data was saved on my computer, and they are gonna give me all my lost apps back for free Apple defiantly knows how to square a customer away FREE Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: I have received nothing but great CS from them from day one.
